At the close of WWII, a group of forward-thinking farmers and ranchers in eastern Oregon saw a need for banking services in their region. Banding together with like-minded investors, they formed the Gilliam County Bank in Arlington, Oregon, in February 1945. In 1950, the name was changed to Bank of Eastern Oregon (BEO), and headquarters moved to Heppner. Since inception, the focus of the bank has been to provide quality banking services to rural communities of eastern Oregon. BEO prides itself on professional customer service, competitive pricing, and easy-to-use banking products. BEO is a full service community bank featuring local decision making and offering loans for commercial, agricultural and consumer purposes. BEO has a state-of- the-art Mortgage Division and an Investment Division for alternative investments. The bank offers a full array of personal and business checking and savings products, debit and credit cards, merchant services, cash management, wire services, and more.

Bank of Eastern Oregon slogan is “…caring for our customers yesterday, today, tomorrow!”
